Pilot management and measurement
The management, delivery and measurement of pilots, often co-led by Practices and Delivery teams, in service of understanding how a new solution works in a given portfolio or market. The biggest difference between programs and pilots is that programs have known variables and seek to deliver a resource or engage customers at scale. Pilots have unknown variables, and seek to answer a question, prove a hypothesis, or define one or more variables, ideally with control and treatment groups.
The “gold standard” for running pilots is to use a randomized controlled trial, which CLEAResult typically does not do. On the Scientific Evidence Pyramid, CLEAResult typically uses the observational studies with comparison groups approach.
Research and project management

Policy and regulatory consulting
Consulting provided by multiple practices to clients about policy and regulatory developments in their markets.
Demand response management and building efficiency performance consulting
Focusing the customer value proposition of a demand response offer on the additional benefits provided by the solution to the customer and reinforcing both that customer-side value and the importance of the program to grid capacity and the community, increases program uptake, performance and customer satisfaction.
